As life begins to return to normal, Chabad of Glencoe is pleased to be hosting:

The Shabbat Experience

Experience a tranquil, tasty and most enjoyable Shabbat.

Enjoy the Kiddush and Matzah balls, inspiring songs and the chance to meet new and old local friends!

The program will begin with a Pre-Shabbat Musical performance by the famed Charles Pikler and Amy Pikler.

Performance followed by Kabbalat Shabbat and Shabbat dinner.

Free of charge. Open to the public. Donations welcome.

Charles Pikler joined the Chicago Symphony Orchestra as a first violinist at the invitation of Sir Georg Solti and in 1986, he was named principal violist eventually becoming the Paul Hindemith Principal Viola Endowed Chair. Upon his retirement in October 2017, he received the Theodore Thomas Medallion for Distinguished Service.

Amy Pikler, serves as section violist in the San Antonio Symphony, substitute violist at the Chicago Symphony and Fort Worth Symphony. Amy was the first place winner of the American Viola society 2014-15 Orchestral Excerpts competition, has received a Farwell Trust award from the Musicians Club of Women, and was a finalist in the NFAA/Young arts program.
